Audio Visual installation at China Fleet Club, Saltash

The China Fleet Golf & Country Club has continued its improvement programme with the replacement of its TVs in the gymnasium and reception areas. Kernow Installations have already overhauled the site-wide PA system and the audio visual systems in the conference/function rooms and installed new audio and LED lighting systems in the Cycle Aerobics Suite. The LG LED TVs have almost no bezels and look really sleek. There are more improvements planned for this fabulous venue.

Stephen Gilbert was working away again at the beginning of this month.  On this occasion it was in Newcastle working for Delta Comm providing radio and comms systems for the opening ceremony of the Great North Run.  It was a spectacular event with a massive firework display and numerous other special effects combined with performances from Mark Knopfler, Sting, Chase & Status and Ant & Dec (or is it Dec & Ant, never could tell the difference!).

The Mare & Foal Sanctuary has benefitted from a complete upgrade to its sound system courtesy of Kernow Installations. DNH speakers were used throughout as they are renowned for their performance and reliability both indoors and outdoors. The DNH CAS6T speakers in the arenas seated area are particularly effective. Kernow Installations have acquired a reputation for audio hire and installation for equestrian events and venues throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Equestrian PA and Communications Hire for BE event on the Devon Cornwall Border

Kernow Installations have just provided a complete communications package for the second year at the BE event held at St Leonard’s Equitation Centre in Launceston. The package for the one day event included site wide public address coverage, radios, a telephone system and a traffic light for the cross-country start. The weather was excellent and everything went extremely well. With considerable praise from the BE officials for the quality of the ‘comms’ we are looking forward to more equine events in the future.

Radio Hire in Mons, Belgium for Great War Commemoration

Stephen Gilbert is currently running the radio shack at the initial commemoration event for the centenary of the Great War, World War I. Working for Delta Comms he is providing all site radios for the BBC’s production at the St Symphorien Cemetery on the outskirts of Mons where both British and German graves lie side by side. It is the resting place of both the first and last British soldiers to be killed in the four year war which demonstrates just how futile the whole thing was. The evening event on Monday 4th August will be televised on BBC2 at 7.30pm

Stephen Gilbert has been working as a Comms (communications) engineer in Yorkshire during Le Grand Depart, It involved a lot of radios, digital comms panels over Ethernet and varying means to secure the essential broadband across the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, villages and towns. This included Cat5 cable, fibre optic cable, microwave dishes and even satellite dishes.
